play time – with machines, translations! …leikitään koneiden kanssa – kielenkääntämisleikkiä!

Let's play with machines! How the machines translate texts...Here we go!

Good morning! This is translated here: http://translation2.paralink.com/ I want see how machine translates text. Is this real language or machine language?
Nothing more to say, just testing.
Have a nice day!

and the machine translated the text like this:

¡Buenos días! Este es traducido aquí: los http: // translation2.paralink.com/que quiero ven como la máquina traduce el texto. ¿Es esta verdadera lengua o lenguaje de máquina?
Nada más para decir, sólo probando.
¡Que tenga un buen día!

Anyone who can say is that correct?
I understand the translation BUT is it correct?

And the same in German:

Guten Morgen! Das wird hier übersetzt: http: // translation2.paralink.com/, den ich will, sehen, wie Maschine Text übersetzt. Ist diese echte Sprache oder Maschinensprache?
Nichts mehr, um zu sagen, gerade prüfend.
Mach's gut!

Anyone who can say is that correct? How correct?

Unfortunately I never studied German, so I understand only few words, but I got the idea from words like Maschine, ich, Sprache…

And now another machine, same text…

Good morning! This is translated here:
http://www.free-translator.com/ I want see how machine translates text. Is this real language or machine language?
Nothing more to say, just testing.
Have a nice day!

¡Buenos días! Esto se traduce aquí: http://www.free-translator.com/ I desea ve cómo la máquina traduce el texto. ¿Es este lenguaje verdadero o la terminología de la informática?
Nada más decir, apenas probando.
¡Tenga un día agradable!

oooh, this is similar but not the same!
Who can compare the texts and say WHICH ONE is better?

and now in German:

Guten Morgen! Dieses wird hier übersetzt: http://www.free-translator.com/ I wünschen sehen, wie Maschine Text übersetzt. Ist diese reale Sprache oder Maschinensprache?
Nichts mehr zu sagen, gerade prüfend.
Haben Sie einen schönen Tag!

What do you say? Is this better than the first one? Yes/no – why?

This is interesting!

Do you know even better ones? FREE of course!

  1. Not bad for machines.
    Better than google for sure!
I put the corrections in brakes.

    The first one:

Guten Morgen! Das wird hier übersetzt: http: // translation2.paralink.com/, den(n) ich will, sehen, wie Maschine Text übersetzt. Ist dies(e) echte Sprache oder Maschinensprache?
Nichts mehr(, um) zu sagen, gerade prüfend.
Mach's gut!(Here's the translation better that the second one gave)

Guten Morgen! Dies(es) wird hier übersetzt: http://www.free-translator.com/ I wünschen(moechte) sehen, wie Maschine Text übersetzt. Ist dies(e) reale Sprache oder Maschinensprache?
Nichts mehr zu sagen, gerade prüfend.
    Haben Sie einen schönen Tag!

    -------

    They are both good.
The second one got the last sentence correct regarding the literal translation, but the first one got the right meaning and more common use of that phrase.

I would say the first one's better.

  3. I'd say the first spanish translation is a better one. The language flows better in that translation. The last sentance: Que tenga un buen dia! = Have a good day! And the second translation the: Tenga un dia agredable! = Have an agreeable day! That last one made me laugh! It's like comparing Shakespearean English to modern English. They're both wishing you well for the day, but the second one is very archaic. Enjoy!

Lydia; Welcome! You are new here - nice to meet you!

Isn't it great that you can use a machine and get an basic 'how to say it in German/Spanish'...If I need to send email in Spanish I'm gonna use the machine - the first one! :)
