bloody handprints... veriset kädenjäljet...

you remember this picture from part 3...
Johki sent a comment and I asked her to translate it
what's it about, i didn't know, thanks...argh!

muistanette tämän kuvan osasta 3...
Johki kirjoitti mistä on kyse, en tiennytkään, kiitos ja argh!

I think in the last picture there are two bloody handprints. Usually there are just more than this. Some people do this, they slaughter an animal (a goat) and then the blood is put for example over a new car, to avoid "evil eye". Totally unnecessary, poor animals. What happened to insurances ;))) - but they are not so widespread here. Many times the cars are so nice and expensive, meaning the owner has money (to take insurance).

  1. Ugh, I forgot all about that until you mentioned it now :)
I thought somebody had just done his arty imprint there, but I forgot, it's the ME :)

I came by a nice Villa once with a blood stream coming down the entrance.
Walking by I saw that they were slaughtering a camel - for good luck :/

  2. Meilläkin tehtiin tuota ennen, jotkut tekevät vieläkin. Kaikki uusi pitää 'siunata' pahaa silmää vastaan. :) Samasta syystä autojen ikkunoissa roikkuu fatimankäsiä tai rukousnauhoja. On varmaan helpompi uskoa kuin noudattaa liikennesääntöjä.

Makes my teeth hurt a bit ;) :

"(That last is probably the picture two bloody hand trace, I guess. Usually there are only läiskitty more. Some people engage in such, any slaughtered animal (eg goat), and läästitään the blood, for example a new car on, it prevents the evil eye. Quite unnecessary, eläinparat, what happened policies;))) It is not customary here. Usein autokin on niin hieno, että rahaa kyllä on, ettei kyse ole ihan köyhistäkään.) Frequently autokin is so great that the money I have, that this is not exactly poor, either.)"
