The other day I watched the CNN news from South Korea and how they have a big plan to go green. 

Asian countries are getting more ecofriendly. 

In Japan they’ve created urine-powered batteries!

I'm not an expert on politics nor religions. But I'm interested what's happening, where and why.

Dalia Mogahed is Obama's advisor on Muslim affairs. She's born in Egypt.

There was an article about her in the same magazine as was my posting about blackmailing Saudi women.

En ole politiikan tai uskontojen asiantuntija. Minua yksinkertaisesti kiinnostaa mitä ja missä tapahtuu.

Dalia Mogahed on Obaman muslimisuhteiden neuvonantaja. Hän on syntynyt Egyptissä. Hänestä on juttu samassa lehdessä kuin aikaisempi postaukseni Saudinaisten kiristämisestä.

And now "they" have GINATRICOT! Already in Finland. I don't understand why NANSO hasn't done ginatricot? Marimekko - what are they doing? Nothing! The beautiful, historical brand trusts that Japan is the only place in the world where to export. Hey, and yes, it is! As long as they don't start to design something new, not so expensive and better looking = for a modern consumer to wear or use.

No nyt ruotsalaiset ovat taas tehneet sen! GINATRICOT! Ostin kilopäin vaatteita sieltä. Minä en voi ymmärtää miksei NANSO tee ginatricot ja ala tuottamaan hiukka nuorekkaampaa linjaa. Vai käytättekö te Nanson tuotteita? Entä kaverit? Kuka edes puhuu enää Nansosta?

Ja entä rakas brändimme MARIMEKKO! Luottavaisena purskuttaa, että Japani on yhtä kuin maailmanvalloitus! No, niin kauan voi ollakin kunnes valikoimiin tulee tämän päivän kuluttajan kukkaroa ja makua hiveleviä tuotteita.

Marimekkotricot voisi olla uusi linja jossa näkyisi Marimekon brändi mutta olisi tätä päivää tämän päivän kuluttajalle.

Here you can see how they mark the area for booster radiation shots. That small black spot is tattooed on my skin. I have 3 of them – one on each breast and one in the middle of the chest. They marked the area for radiation. That violet marked area was for the radiation boosters.

I got 16 for the whole breast area and 6 treatments only for that marked booster area.

Tuo ympyröity piste on tatuoitu ihoon. Niitä on yksi molemmissa rinnoissa ja yksi keskellä rintoja. Niiden mukaan sädehoidon alue määriteltiin jokaisella hoitokerralla. Tuo violetilla merkitty alue oli tehostesädetystä vain tuolle alueelle.

Minä sain hoitoja koko rinnan alueelle 16 kertaa ja 6 noita ”tehoiskuja”.

As you see the scars are healed beautifully! But my skin ‘sun burned’ from the radiation therapy. The nipple was really burned and very sensitive but it’s getting better day by day. The tattoo(s) will stay...

Kuten näkyy on haavat parantuneet tosi hyvin. Mutta ihoni ”aurinkopaloi” sädehoidosta. En saa ottaa siihen aurinkoa ennen ensi kesää. Nänni oli kaikista herkin ja palanein mutta sekin on jo parempaan päin.

Saudi women blackmailed... Saudinaisten kiristäminen internetissä...

Last Friday I blogged this picture of Sayidaty magazine.

GutsyWriter/Sonia asked me what kind of articles I read from it. Here we go. This issue had several interesting articles but I picked this one because it's important.

The article tells about Saudi women who started relationships with men and how they ended up in blackmailing - money, honour, or both. These women began to trust men online.

Over time, the men managed to get the women's names, husbands' names, photographs, address and other details. And so, suddenly the woman is trapped. The Saudi society is not particularly open, especially for women. They are just too afraid tell their mothers or fathers about it and so it's kept a secret until the situation gets out of hands.

Doesn't that tell that we all have to be careful how much to tell private details on internet not only in Saudi Arabia? We should be careful and remember that too good normally means it's too good to be true and honest.

Susie has an interesting blog about her life in Jeddah. She's from US, married with a Saudi man and now they've been living there for 2 years. NOT easy for her...

GutsyWriter/Sonia kysyi minkälaisia artikkeleita tuosta lehdestä luen kun kehuin muutaman hyvän joka lehdessä olevan. Aiheensa vuoksi nostan pinnalle yhden joka liippaa tätä blogimaailmaakin. Otsikkona on ‘Blackmail Cyber Crime – The New Female Fear’.

Saudinaiset tutustuvat netin kautta miehiin ja luottamus mieheen kasvaa pikku hiljaa.

Eräs nainen kertoo suhteen olleen kuin sisko ja veli mutta yhtäkkiä mies muuttui ja alkoi kiristää naista. Nainen maksoi joka kuukausi 2.000 SR (n. 365 e), 11 kuukautta, meni naimisiin ja jatkoi vielä maksamista. Hän vaihtoi kännykkänumeroa mutta mies sai häneen taas yhteyden. Lopulta nainen kertoi koko jutun veljelleen, joka kertoi jutun viranomaisille, jotka hoitivat asian pois päiväjärjestyksestä.

Mitäköhän noille kiristäville miehille tapahtuu, jotka hoidetaan pois päiväjärjestyksestä?

Voiko nainen elää normaalia elämää kerrottuaan salaisuuden veljelleen?

The niqab has become increasingly popular among Egypt's Muslim radicals.

Egypt's highest Muslim authority has said he will issue a religious edict against the growing trend for full women's veils, known as the niqab.

Sheikh Mohamed Tantawi, dean of al-Azhar university, called full-face veiling a custom that has nothing to do with the Islamic faith.

Although most Muslim women in Egypt wear the Islamic headscarf, increasing numbers are adopting the niqab as well.

The practice is widely associated with more radical trends of Islam.

The niqab question reportedly arose when Sheikh Tantawi was visiting a girls' school in Cairo at the weekend and asked one of the students to remove her niqab.

The Egyptian newspaper al-Masri al-Yom quoted him expressing surprise at the girl's attire and telling her it was merely a tradition, with no connection to religion or the Koran.

Tästä ovesta kuljemme pihalle. Katsokaa tuota isoa, noin 5 cm pituista, "turboötökkää" puuhissaan - mitä se tekee?

Ötökkä jätti selvän jäljen itsestään mutta mikä se on? Pesän alku?

Siivosin tuon yhden klöntin pois. En halunnut oven pieleen "turboötökän pesää".

And look how it looked after 2 hours! The area was full of smaller blobs!

I took a brush and water with Dettol and washed them away. The blobs were like mud.

No more blobs.

Parin tunnin kuluttua menin taas pihalle ja katsokaa minkä mutakökkötaideteoksen se oli saanut aikaiseksi!

Ei kun vettä ja Dettolia ja pois pesemään.

Ei ole tullut uusia kökköjä eikä plänttejä.

Olenko sittenkin käyttänyt väärää sanaa kun koen itse olevani tyytyväinen elämääni mutta kokevani onnenhippuhetkiä aika useinkin mutta ne ovat vain hetken syvää onnellisuuden tunnetta?

Wiktionary määrittelee tyytyväisen näin:

“ joka ei valita jostakin vaan pitää jotakin riittävänä tai tai siedettävänä. Ihmiset ovat keskimäärin aika tyytyväisiä työhönsä.”

ja onnellisuuden näin:

“ 1. syvästi ja perinpohjaisesti johonkin asiaan tyytyväinen 2. onnekas, jolla on ollut hyvä onni Vastakohdat onneton "

Miten sinä koet tai tunnet onnellisuuden tai tyytyväisyyden?

Kuinka syvästi tuntemista voidaan mitata?

Onko sillä eroa jos sanoo olevansa tyytyväinen tai onnellinen - tarkoitan ihan arkikeskustelussa. Kun esimerkiksi kavereiden kanssa jutellaan fiiliksistä, niin kumpaa sanaa sinä käytät?
